History

1996 Through God’s plan, Rev. Yugo & Keiko Kobari begin outreach in the Chicagoland suburbs.

2001 Rev. Yugo & Keiko Kobari begin church planting for the Japanese and founded Chicago Japanese Mission Church (CJMC) Southern Baptist Convention (SBC).

2003 Start church construction. CJMC purchases 2 acres of land for the church building in the Village of ArlingtonHeights.

2009 CJMC transitions from a SBC church plant to a self-supporting SBC church.   

2014 First Worship Service is held in the new CJMC building in the Village of Arlington Heights.

   CJMC Church Dedication Service is held.

        Certificate of Compliance and Occupancy from the Village of Arlington Heights is given to CJMC.
